And send my soul to flight
Among the stars and angel's wings
Which seek to end my plight.
Lonely one with heart aflame
Take heed to count your dreams,
And fly the night among the stars
Borne high on angel's wings.
Burn bright dear soul and speed my course
Through moonless, darkened skies
That arms may hold and lips enfold
All guided by your eyes.
Dark souls encircle with their wrath,
And seek to block my way,
But eyes aglow with sheer delight
Will surely show the way.
So short the time upon this earth
To live and love and cry,
So heart take note of every chance
When bliss does beckon nigh.
Our souls encircle once again
With laughter and with tears
As eons pass in swiftest grace
To bridge the passing years.
Bright soul take heart and fly away
Beyond the decades past,
And join me again to sing
In love that ever lasts.
