Plot: Rock star Monroe (Christopher Lambert) was once on top of the world. He was famous, his music in constant demand, when the accidental death of his brother plunged him into despair. Turning his back on his life and career, he has become a beach bum, wrecked by guilt, and living in a self imposed exile in Europe. Searching for a reason to live, Monroe responds to a cry from the sea. Swimming out into the ocean, he finds an urn that contains a beautiful jinn, China (Diane Lane). She tells him she will grant him three wishes, and seems to be the woman of his dreams. But will these dreams grant Monroe the things he truly desires? As Monroe discovers, life is a mystery... but love is pure magic.
